BACK TO WORK SAFELY
Workbox Covid Update
Thank you to all our members for sticking with us during the Covid crisis. We worked hard to keep you safe and to keep your business productive. Many of you were assisted by discretionary grants to users of shared workspace, which we helped you to apply for.
We remain open for members. From May 2021, with reduced restrictions coming in, we are now for the first time in a year allowing one month and one week memberships. Day visits will follow only when it is considered suitably safe to allow them.
We are committed to the long-term future of the Workbox, which has been such a success with over 85 members collaborating and growing their brands. We think there will be a growth in demand for our space, caused by the new flexible/remote working trends that the Covid experience has created.
However, we are still requiring members to expect an amount of ‘self-service’ while some of our staff remain furloughed. We do insist that safety measures continue (signing in through the app, temperature checks, keeping distance etc).
For now we do not expect the Truro boardroom to be available during working hours for external meetings. Not just because demand will be lower in an era of Zoom and Teams, but to reduce the numbers of visitors that we have to track. The boardroom is being configured for at least four worktops for members to use, with the ability for occasional member-led meetings. This along with other plans mean we hope to have at least six more spaces in Truro.
Thanks again to everyone for their fantastic messages of support and commitment to us long term. We are determined to see the Workbox not just survive Covid but to thrive in its wake.
